Raglan Mother’s Union

Raglan Mothers’ Union meet every second Wednesday at 2.30p.m.in the Parish Rooms. We are a Christian group who believe strongly in the values of family life.

The first service after the summer break was a communion service conducted by our own Rev. Joan Wakelin, when we were grateful to have some choir members in our group who helped us to lift the service in the singing of a hymn.

Our next meeting on the 11th October will be an opportunity to purchase MU gifts and stationary in time for Christmas and to hear about some of the work of the Mothers’ Union.

There will be a coffee morning held on Saturday the 4th November at 10.30a.m. to help raise money for ‘Liam’s Trust Fund’, to enable him to be fitted with the most appropriate prosthetic arms as he grows older. We do hope that you will be able to support us to help this little boy enjoy life as near normal as possible as he grows up.

Sue Russell will be our speaker on the 8th November, when we also hope to fill as many shoe boxes as we can as a group contribution to the ‘Operation Christmas Child’ appeal. These boxes are quite often the only presents that the recipients receive and can make a real difference to their lives. Lists of things that are suitable for these boxes can be obtained from the Church. We would love to meet you if you would like to come along and help fill and decorate the boxes!
